How is this different from just renting an apartment?

Foundations rentals are priced below what the market charges and they're exclusively for pastors and church staff. The application is simple and we understand what ministry income actually looks like.

Is there a catch?

No catch. The below-market rent is made possible by how we structure and develop each property — not by a subsidy that runs out or a hidden fee that shows up later. What you see is what you pay.

How do I qualify?

If you serve at a church or faith community in any capacity — pastor, staff, church planter — you qualify. We know ministry income looks different from a typical W-2 and our process is built around that reality.

How long can I stay in the rental?

Foundations rentals are multi-year leases. Lease terms vary by property and are spelled out clearly before you sign. As long as you're actively serving in ministry, your rent will always be below what the market charges.

What happens when my lease is up?

When your term ends, we'll work with you well in advance to explore your options — including applying for another Foundations rental if one is available in your area.

Who manages the rental?

Foundations manages every property in the network. Maintenance, repairs, any issues — that's on us. You focus on your ministry.

How quickly do rentals get filled?
